 David James Moss studied life drawing and portrait painting up to 1961 at Manchester Regional College of Art.On leaving college, he started work as a visualiser on various national accounts in Manchester-based advertising agencies. In 1965, he moved to work in Soho Square, London.
with a studio specialising in book illustrations, working on educational children’s books and well known favourites such as Sesame Street, Postman Pat, Mr Bean and Teenage Turtles.
On returning to the North, he spent five years teaching at Stockport College of Technology and then as a freelance cartoon caricaturist.
Drawing caricatures ‘live’ Mossy has worked nationwide attending weddings and parties as far apart as Bournemouth and Edinburgh. Corporate Events in London, Leeds, Harrogate, Brighton, Glasgow, Edinburgh, N E C Birmingham and London Planetarium.
