This superb Award winning CORTESE is our best selling Italian beauty by the glass. It is well balanced, rich, mineraly with stoned fruit flavours and a touch of spice with a long lingering finish.

Best with grilled white fish, white meat dishes with creamy or fruity sauce and shell fish pasta.

Verdejo, Ramon Bilbao, Rueda, Spain, 2016 - ABV - 13%

BRONZE - Decanter Wine Awards

Bodegas Ramon Bilbao, renowned Rioja producers, have perfected the production of Verdejo in the Rueda. This round, fruity, clean, bright and aromatic wine, with a touch of tropical fruit characters, is a prime example.

Ideal as an aperitif, with smoked fish or any vegetable dish, especially asparagus and artichokes.

Chenin Blanc, Old Vines Reserve, Ken Forrester Wines, South Africa - ABV - 13%

In 2016 I was sitting with a friend of mine having an Al Fresco lunch at Ken Forrester's 96, Winery Road Restaurant, enjoying his fabulous beautifully chilled Chenin Blanc which was round and full bodied, complex with tropical fruit and vanilla notes. A truly beautiful summery wine.

Any white sauce enhanced dishes will complement this wine extremely well.

La Reserve de Lucien Lurton Blanc Bordeaux, 2017

This distinguished Bordeaux family are in the ownership of many flagship properties. There are ten in the hands of Lucien's children, making some excellent wines including this refreshing, light, crisp Sauvignon Blanc with the hints of green apples and citrus fruit flavours.    

Ideal on its own and with goats cheese, asparagus and plain grilled fresh water fish.

Rioja Blanco, Fermentado en Barrica, Bodegas del Medievo, Spain 2017 

This 100% Viura spends around 4 months in a new oak barrels and develops beautiful buttery and complex aromas with fresh fruit flavours with hints of coconut and vanilla finishing with good balanced acidity.

Why not try it with plain grilled white fish dishes with strong creamy sauce, shellfish and cured meats.

Cotes du Rhone Villages. Laudun Blanc, Laudun Chuselan, France 2016   

The most interesting white Rhone blend of Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Viognier and Roussanne. It expresses strong flavours of white peach and runny acacia honey with a touch of nuttiness. There is a pronounced minerality with a stunning long, fresh finish. 

A lovely match to white meat dishes, shellfish and white cheese.
